Solvet LidoBand Tri Castration Bands

Bull calves in the 200 to 400 lb range need more than a standard band but not quite bull-size dosing. Solvet LidoBand-Tri™ fills that gap, delivering a latex rubber band infused with 160 mg of lidocaine designed specifically for castration in this weight range.

Once placed around the base of the scrotum, the lidocaine quickly diffuses through the skin and stays concentrated in the local tissue thanks to vasoconstriction from the band, providing local anesthesia right where it's needed. LidoBand-Tri is compatible with the Tri-Band™ bander and applies using a triangle band applicator (not included); follow the manufacturer's directions for that applicator when banding.

Because lidocaine is present in each band, wear gloves and eye protection when handling LidoBand-Tri, and change gloves frequently when working through multiple bands. Latex properties shift with temperature, so use bands between 60°F and 85°F to avoid breakage from cold or heat, and store bands in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Bands should never be reused.

Castration always carries some tetanus risk, so it's recommended to use a Clostridial vaccine with tetanus toxoid prior to or at the time of banding, or provide tetanus antitoxin at the time of castration. Consult your veterinarian on the right tetanus prevention plan for your operation. LidoBand-Tri should not be used on animals with a known lidocaine hypersensitivity.

Each jar includes 25 individually packaged bands, giving you enough to work through a full run of bull calves with pain management built into every application.
