Solvet LidoBand XL Castration Bands

Bull castration calls for more capacity than a standard band can handle. Solvet LidoBand XL™ is built specifically for bulls weighing 250 to 750 lb, giving you a latex rubber band infused with 240 mg of lidocaine for local anesthesia right at the castration site.

Once applied around the base of the scrotum, the lidocaine quickly diffuses through the skin and stays in the local tissue thanks to vasoconstriction from the band itself, delivering targeted pain management exactly where it's needed. A tension band applicator (XL Banders type) is recommended, and you should follow the manufacturer's directions for that applicator when applying LidoBand XL.

Because lidocaine is present in each band, wear gloves when handling or applying LidoBand XL, and change gloves frequently when working through multiple bands. Latex properties shift with temperature, so apply bands between 60°F and 85°F to avoid breakage from cold or heat. Bands should be stored in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight, and never reused.

Castration always carries some tetanus risk, so it's highly recommended to vaccinate with a tetanus toxoid at least three weeks before castration, or provide tetanus antitoxin at the time of the procedure. Talk with your veterinarian about the right tetanus prevention plan for your operation. LidoBand XL should not be used on animals with a known lidocaine hypersensitivity.

Each jar comes with 25 bands, giving you enough on hand to get through a full castration run with pain management built into every application.
