The PTO Sling is an apparatus to hoist and support the weight of the implement driveline shaft while attaching to the tractor, making the PTO connections easier, quicker and safer.
The PTO Sling safely relieves the tractor operator’s usual need to hold and support a heavy implement shaft during the typical PTO connection process of manually lifting the driveline (as heavy as 100+ lbs) and stooping or crouching at awkward angles while reaching for the PTO housing area for connection.
The PTO Sling is designed to be used on most any implement type... using both the tractor’s hydraulic system and the leverage points of either the lift arms or top link on the tractor’s 3-point hitch. When done, just remove, to easily fold and stow the Sling in the sturdy canvas storage bag.
INSTALL: The tractor operator will first make a hydraulic lift so the tractor’s lift arms are stationery at or above the level
of the PTO spline. Then route each hook-end under the driveline shaft and connect to and secure around both lift arms.
Adjust the pull-loop straps to remove slack and to raise the shaft to the desired level, centering the shaft in the sliding
cradle of the Sling. Incrementally adjust your shaft level down by pressing the releases of the heavy-duty cam buckles...or
using the hydraulic lift arms to raise the shaft to the desired level.
The cradle of the PTO Sling has an open dual-pouch on its top side to insert one or more of the three HDPE stiffening
boards, create the proper balance of rigidity and flexibility to support the weight of an implement driveline in the
cradle’s center and minimize slide friction, allowing the driveline’s outer plastic sheath to easily slide forward toward the
PTO housing area.
